Jim Duncan at Real Central VA had a post today about how a heat pump works
, and the link for the post was somewhat amusing.  But it got me thinking – did I REALLY know how a heat pump worked?

We have a lot of electric heat pumps here in the New River Valley and so it’s not going to take long before you run across one.  Essentially, a heat pump is an air conditioner that runs both ways – it can heat the house, or it can cool the house.  and if it gets damage, any air conditioning repair services could work. Very simple, right?

At least it’s simpler than the diagram here …
